Ms. Sarah Sietz
Ms. Sietz (she/her/hers) began her career in education in 2017. She is committed to making sure all of her students feel valued, safe, important, seen, and heard in her mathematics classroom. She emphasizes the importance of persevering through rigorous tasks, purposeful activities, and thought-provoking discussions. She always encourages her students to try their best and is dedicated to helping each student become their best self as a math thinker and person altogether. Ms. Sietz received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics from the Teacher Education Honors Academy at the College of Staten Island in 2017 and a Master of Science Degree in Education for Secondary Mathematics at the College of Staten Island in 2021. Additionally, Ms. Sietz became a certified Wellness, Yoga, and Social-Emotional Learning educator and leader in 2022. It is her eighth year teaching mathematics, second year on the Literacy Hub Team, and her first year leading the SEL Team as the SEL/Health & Wellness Coordinator.
