Medical Science
The P-TECH Medical Sciences Early College program is tied to our Career and Technical Education certificate program in Medical Assisting. In addition to their traditional high school courses, students will be taking anatomy and physiology, microbiology and medical assisting, while also completing internships at Staten Island University Hospital. In their junior year, they will begin their college courses in pursuit of a Liberal Sciences Associate Degree with a biology focus. Teachers, guidance counselors, and administrative staff are there to support families through this rigorous and accelerated program with the goal of ensuring that students are successful during their four years at Port Richmond High School and the following two years as they complete their Associates Degree.
