Computer Science
The P-TECH Computer Science Early College program, in addition to their traditional high school courses, provides students instruction in various computer coding languages while also completing internships with The New York Power Authority and Staten Island University Hospital. In their junior year, students begin their college courses in pursuit of an Associate Degree in Computer Science Programming in partnership with The College of Staten Island. Teachers, guidance counselors, and administrative staff provide continuous support to families through this rigorous and accelerated program with the goal of ensuring that students are successful during their four years at Port Richmond High School and the following two years as they complete their Associates Degree.
