JROTC

The Port Richmond Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps (JROTC) gives students appreciation for the importance of the history, purpose, and structure of the Army.

Our cadets will learn to:

Demonstrate a knowledge pf the rights, responsibilities, privileges and freedom that underlie good citizenship;
Display leadership potential and the ability to live and work cooperatively with others;
Demonstrate leadership in situations involving conflict resolution;
Demonstrate positive self-esteem and winning behavioral concepts in a culturally diverse society;
Demonstrate the ability to think logically and to communicate effectively, with emphasis on effective oral communications.

The JROTC core abilities describe the broad life-long skills that every Cadet needs for success in all careers and life roles. They are drawn from the overall goal and values that drive the JROTC program. Recruitment for the military is not within the mission of JROTC.
