Programs
The Port Richmond Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corp (JROTC) gives students an appreciation for the importance of the history, purpose, and structure of the Army JROTC. JROTC students demonstrate a knowledge of the rights, responsibilities, privileges and freedom that underlie good citizenship and leadership in situations involving conflict resolution, positive self-esteem and winning behavioral concepts in a culturally diverse society, the ability to think logically and to communicate effectively, with emphasis on effective oral communications. JROT students also display leadership potential and the ability to live and work cooperatively with others. The JROTC core abilities describe the broad life-long skills that every cadet needs for success in all careers and life roles. They are drawn from the overall goal and values that drive the JROTC program.
